The King And You United By Faith

As a Christian, do you go about denying your faith in Jesus?

You don’t.  Ok.

My next question is:  How is it when your faith comes under vicious threats and opposition …by way of your finances, your health, your relationship, even your very life … you have such a hard time to keeping it together?

Yes, you call on the Lord but somehow you neither have the patience to wait nor the courage to be still.

Relax, I am not judging you.  I am speaking from experience and as I am led.

Right now you are overwhelmed with problems, distracted by fears and doubts and disconnected from God.  Your problems become your main focus.

As to why you cannot keep it together.  It begins with your misplaced…

God’s Grace The Source Of all Blessings

I don’t know about you but as a parent I am very concerned about the social issues that are negatively affecting our children and the unprecedented decline.

Recently my ability as a parent was truly undermined and I was totally at my wit’s end.

My youngest son, who is eight years old, was in a cycle of repeated suspensions from school which events were not only unchartered territory for me, in my many years of parenting, but they were beginning to take a toll on my peace of mind.

My husband and I tried everything in our powers to get him to stop but nothing seems to work.

And recognizing our inabilities, I decided to take this matter to the Lord and ask his counsel on this issue and His word reminded me … Blessed shall be the fruit of your body… [Deuteronomy 28:4].  The Lord empowered me to deal with the problem and not getting all stressed out.

The life and future of our son was way too important to ignore.

Recognizing that we were in real battle …I not only call upon the name of the Lord I took him to the Lord, to the real source of blessings, and that’s where we are… glory to the most High God. [Matthew 19:14, Mark 10:14, Luke 18:16].

I understood that the way to go forward is to go in the fear of the Lord.

The devil is a liar!

Let Jesus Wash Your Feet

Churches are crying out for revivals…

Many members feel that a drastic change is needed in the church, but very few know what to do.

Let me suggest simply… let Jesus in, take hold of the Gospel and allow the change to first begin in you.

The Power of God’s Grace

Was identified and demonstrated in Jesus.

For the good news of the kingdom of God is the message of salvation which Jesus, who was God himself, preached and taught with authority and power.

God’s goodness and mercy at work became the reality for many through Jesus who was the true picture of the grace of God and His unconditional love towards us.

And if you are still looking for solid proof about how God feels about us then let me point you to Jesus. For in Him it was plainly seen just how much God cares.

In His presence the poor, the oppressed, the bound, diseased and even the dead, Jews and gentiles alike – if they dared to believe – experienced phenomenal relief and deliverance from sickness, sin and death.

In fact, countless people were drawn to Jesus in droves, like a moth to a flame, and received their deliverance with joy, excitement and great rejoicing.

Then there was the apostle Paul, one of the greatest apostles of Jesus, who many would have ‘damned’ to hell for his persecution of the early church immediately after Jesus’ ascension.

He also received this ‘unmerited and undeserved favor’ from God. God touched him and he was changed forever. He lived the rest of his life preaching and teaching about the grace of God.

You see, this unconditional love just brings about a supernatural change to your life. Apostle Paul’s life is living testimony of this. His life was transformed and by his letters to the churches, the anointing still resonates and abounds even to this day. To the glory of God.

The scriptures and many transformed lives including my own, bear record today.

Furthermore, the mighty works that Jesus accomplished on the cross for us and His raising up from the dead is proof enough of God’s unconditional love and his will to bless and to save us. For me this truth is, unequivocally clear and life transforming.

You know, it’s no secret that we have all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. And no one is exempted from this. We are all guilty. Period.

But God, let me stress this, by His amazing grace has made a way possible through Jesus whereby we were all forgiven, our healing guaranteed and Satan’s oppression broken and instead the way to eternal life is open to all – where goodness and mercies flow increasingly toward us – who will believe.

Changing Lovers

That being said, what are you waiting on, what is hindering you from stepping into the dwelling place and awesome presence of the Most High God?

Could it be you that is holding yourself back? Then let go. Resist the urge to continue being a lover of yourself and of the pleasures of this world.

Turn and receive Jesus into every area of your life, for He is all you will ever need and you and only you can make this decision. He will not force Himself on you.

If you are ready to follow Jesus all the way, this choice is the beginning of your empowerment as a child of God.

You see, before the truth of the knowledge of God was revealed to me, I was blindly going about aimlessly chasing after the things of this world and its deceitful riches and fleeting pleasures even though I was a Christian.

Still believing there to be a better way, a more satisfying and fulfilling way, but could not find it. Then I heard the good news of the kingdom of God and I was profoundly changed by this truth.

Jesus made the difference for me and all the work that was required of me was to believe on Jesus.

I received a revival that was mind-blowing, my priorities were straightened out and the Lord was reinstated to be the ruler and the head of my life, period. I no longer cared what other people thought or said about me, God’s love and His grace was simply enough for me.

You need to see and experience the love that God has for you, to the extent that He made the ultimate sacrifice, in order that you can enjoy the blessedness and joy of His presence forever.

My friend, the love of God in you will break, destroy and free you from all bondage.

So much so that you will find your desires for sin and everything else, which you had a problem with before, pale in comparison to His love.
Love will wash over you and within you like a river.

Begin by Trusting in God’s Words

Remember, we do have an adversary, the devil, who is also the prince of this world. And you and I know that he comes about to steal, kill and to destroy and as long as we give him access into our lives, He will cause havoc.

Don’t you know that he has no power over you, except what you give to him?

Do not entertain him. Guard your heart from all his lies, which only you can do and take nothing from him.

I know this can be seen to be a challenge. For me, it was almost impossible until I learned to let Jesus lead me and cast all my cares upon Him.

First of all, I believe it is very important that you understand clearly that the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of God that is living within you is not there to remind you of your faults and to belittle you when you do wrong. That is not the office of the Holy Spirit.

He is with you to help you in your weaknesses, to guide and teach you, to comfort, love and to carry you when the going gets rough. And when you don’t know what to say when you pray, He makes intercession for you.

Trusting Him completely must be your way of life and you will receive His peace as you hand over the reigns of your life to Him. Allow Him to minister to you otherwise you cannot be a part of Him.

You will be happy to get rid of anything that remotely reminds or looks like what you once held dear while living in bondage. I speak from experience.

As a child of God you need not live in bondage, not when you have been set free.

Knowing God and living by the Word of God, by faith, is the key to bringing victories into your life. And indeed be the light of the world you have been called to be.

Finally let me say this. There will be a great revival of the church because the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

However, you being a member of this great body are dependent on you checking yourself and allowing Jesus to have His way with you and in your life!

Again, this decision is one that only you can make.

Who Has Your Heart?

As I pondered over what to write about today, my mind wandered to a low point in my life when I was stuck in despair and loneliness and I remembered the Lord embracing me as I stood in my kitchen. There I felt the overwhelming power of His love wash over me and take me out of that dark place. This was about three years ago.

And way before that, about fourteen years earlier, I had a similar heavenly experience when I received the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Yet up to that day, three years ago, even though I was living the life of a Christian by obeying the rules of do’s and don’ts for many years, I never experienced such overwhelming love.

So in reflection, I realize that the loving presence of the Holy Spirit does not come about because of your goodness or worthiness and certainly not by your performance. It touches your life when you begin to see the goodness and worthiness of Jesus Christ. It’s all about Him and who He is to you.

The place to be to receive God’s love depends on how you see Jesus.

Jesus the King of hearts

If you would take some time and follow Jesus through the Gospels as he ministered, you will see that multitude of people followed after him. Huge crowds were drawn to him by his words and his actions. His teaching, preaching and the performance of miracles by Him were awesome, amazing and oh so inspiring. He was like a magnet.

During which time, Jesus neither condemned those who came to him nor turned away those who were brought to him. He ministered to their every need with loving kindness.

The crowd who followed after him unceasingly, as well as His disciples, knew in their heart they weren’t good men and women, but sinners in need of salvation. And they pursued after Jesus for He showed and gave to them what they so desperately needed, love and attention.

And I find to this day and in this generation, the same need exists. We are all hungry for love… real love and attention.

Well, the Lord knows about your needs as well as mine and He is ready and well able to fulfill them, which He has proven from the beginning of time to this day.

Jesus is more than ready and equipped to give you all the love you need and until you receive God’s kind of love, you will not be able to give true service in the Kingdom of God.

Preparing your heart to know Him

In Matthew 13: 3-23 Jesus taught about the different conditions of a person’s heart and I believe you will recognize your own heart’s condition from this scripture and how spiritually healthy or unhealthy you are.

In retrospect, after examining my heart a couple of years ago by this same scripture, I was shocked to see that my heart looked more like a hard, stony and weed covered ground…

Yikes! Yes, I was a mess.

Anyway, as I meditated on “how to prepare my heart?”, the story of Esther, that young woman mentioned in the Old Testament, came to mind. Feel free to read Esther chapter 2: 1 – 18, for your ease of reference and to see where I am going here…

After entering into the king’s house and being placed in the custody of the keeper of women, Esther was immediately provided with all that she needed for her purification. This is a process which lasted for 12 months which all the ‘chosen’ young virgins were required to go through before becoming intimate with the king.

You will note that when the time came for her to be with the king and after her purification process was completed, Esther and only Esther of all the young women required nothing.

This tells me that Esther’s heart was full. She asked for nothing more. Her desire was only for the king. She was ready to be with him.

And so when she was taken to the king, the king loved her above all the other virgins and she obtained grace and favor more than all the others that were before her. In fact, the king’s adoration and love for her resulted in him crowning her queen.

The preparation of your heart to know God begins with you spending quality time in the Word and being enlightened by the Holy Spirit.

I believe you should make this activity a daily habit until it becomes an irreplaceable part of you. Meditate on it day and night and consistently give God’s Word first place in your heart and indeed every area of your life and you will experience deliverance and victory in your life.

This too pleases the Lord.

Many Christians err in thinking that a relationship with God is dependent on their performance. This is far from the truth and I will even go as far as to say this error can cause you to lose out big time!

He desires you to serve Him with all your heart

Whatever holds first place in your heart other than Jesus must go.

Why? Because it is impossible for you to serve two masters. You do not have the ability of being faithful to more than one person at the same time nor can you do your best in two separate areas at the same time.

You must get to the place where the cares of this life no longer have a hold on you. For example, you have lost the desire to acquire stuff, which you mistakenly feel will make you feel better once attained. And this is the biggy for me… holding on to old grudges and painful experiences from the past.

I also find in my experience things and people that usually upset me no longer did. I was pretty much willing to let things go. Forgiving others become much easier and my general attitude towards others simply changed for the better. And I could go on.

At the appointed time when your heart has been prepared and Christ in His fullness is known to you, you will experience His love and a personal intimate relationship which is not comparable to anything of this earth.

You yourself would have chosen this way, since this way cannot be forced upon you.

A life transformed by the love of God is one that ministers. You will see that your life will be a blessing beyond your wildest dreams.

You will live your life in the Kingdom of God with hope and expectancy, not by coincidences. For your life shall unfold effortlessly like a flower opens up and captivates with its sweetness… Yes, God influences and touches lives through you… this is His will and divine plan.

And there is no earthly benefit that can be compared to this.  You will be able to answer the call by stepping into your place, a deeply satisfying and fulfilling role which only you can play in the world today.

My friend, this is only a glimpse, but that will give you so much happiness and contentment because God is in it for real.

Finally, let me refer again to Queen Esther and what she received. Look at the role she played through her relationship with the king!

I dare you to prove God and see for yourself what He will do for you.
