Serving In Love And The Power Of The Holy Spirit

Are you ministering to that person of authority in your life by your love and unwavering belief in God, or have you become too distracted by life’s challenges to bother?

You might think you don’t have the power, especially when you look at the person, but you do.  Matter of fact, the power is in you to do.

Granted a life free from distractions is a challenge on its own and I am not saying that the way to go is by your own strength.  Not at all.

But I firmly believe that where there are challenges, there are opportunities.  Opportunities for God to show His mighty powers and all it takes is your believing in Him.

See, on one hand you will have challenges and on the other hand is your God ready to show Himself strong and then, there is you.

That is why, working in partnership with the Holy Spirit and the position you take can have a life changing impact.

Therefore your position against life’s challenges is so very important and that’s what I would like to share with you today.

Kingdom Commitment Conquers Rejection

Rejoice in the Lord, you who loves Him …you who fears the Lord … who delights greatly in His commandments.  Though you may seem insignificant by the world’s standard know this, by heavenly standard you are Jesus’ descendants upon the earth.

Therefore, you are mighty on the earth.

Believe it or not, you will not be happy when you allow the fear of rejection to shut down the calling which the Lord has on your life or to stand in the way of your preaching the gospel of the Kingdom of God, or working in the Kingdom.

Besides, what would your life be without Jesus?

Recently I received three rejections …two of which were business transactions … within days of each other.  I was stunned.  I didn’t see them coming and I went away thinking, “God what was that about?”  Granted, they were nothing major … I had other options available but I admit, I still felt the impact of rejection.

And so, I prayed to the Lord to give me a clearer perspective so that it won’t rob me of my joy in Him.  Praise God I soon forgot about it and my joy and peace in the Lord remains.

However, a few days ago, it was impressed upon me to study Luke Chapter 4:14-30.

Today I would like to share with you how I’ve learnt to handle rejection the way Jesus did.

Return to Jesus and The Kingdom of God

Interestingly, throughout the ages and as recorded in the Bible, God has called his people to come to Him and to return. In the New Testament, God came looking and searching out for the lost, the afflicted, the broken, the bewildered, and the downright messed up and spiritually dead.

As incredible as this may seem, it is a fact. God desires to have an earnest relationship with people. But He will never force Himself upon anyone and He is certainly not a control-freak. He will not compel you and neither will He control your will to accomplish His.

By your free will, you must believe that God is who He says He is and willingly return to know Him. Trusting God with full control over your life is a huge step but one only you can make so He may guide and teach you how to live the Christian life. The life you were born to live.

Now, you know as well as I do, that in building any solid, lasting relationship it takes trust. A whole truckload in some cases. But when it comes to our Heavenly Father, the Almighty, Most Holy and Awesome God…

Suffice it to say, God can be trusted absolutely. He can be depended on wholeheartedly and He will stand by His Words completely.

He means what He says and says what He means.

Numbers 23:19 tells me that God does not go back on His Words.

God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?

I rest my case. Moving right along…

He Promised Never To Leave Or Forsake Us!

I don’t know about you, but despite my good intentions, I tend to oppose the will of God in certain areas of my life due to unbelief, my resistance to change and that I am easily led by my emotions and not by the Holy Spirit. In the past, this happened way too often. I cannot begin to tell you how many times I find myself in very tight spots.

But God, ever so patient and longsuffering, just kept calling and delivering me out of them all.

God has made Himself available 24/7 through the Holy Spirit. He made our soul His dwelling place. And He never hangs a “Do Not Disturb” sign on the door of our hearts. We can boldly approach Him at any time.

Therefore, do not stay away for God’s sake!

Galatians 4:14 says it real well from the perspective of a believer who falls short from time to time:

And my temptation which was in my flesh ye despised not, nor rejected; but received me as an angel of God, even as Christ Jesus.

This bears repeating. God will never reject you when you reach out to Him. His love for you is far greater than your weakness to sin.

That said, let me point out that it is important that you give yourself to God and thereby, resist the devil. Your act of omission in this area will definitely not work in your favor.

Here is why. When you chose to sin, you are giving Satan entry into your life and setting yourself up for a lot of problems, confusion and turmoil. Remember his goal… destruction.

This is another reason why entering into a relationship with God, accepting His love for you and allowing the guidance of the Holy Spirit is very important. You will be strengthened and kept from repeatedly falling to Satan and his old tricks.

Do Not Stay Away and Lose Out

Your choice to stay away from the presence of God is actually your rejecting God’s right hand extending towards you and a choice that does you more harm than good.

So do you want to have the peace of God ruling over your heart and life always?

Well do not stay away just because you messed up. It’s only God who can clean you up.

Your complete enjoyment in the presence of the Lord, His love and His peace are priceless. Let nothing rob you of this. This peace of God is what sets your heart free from fear, stress, worries, anxieties and the cares of this life.

Moreover, you know that God is a Spirit and we are called to worship Him in spirit and truth. But before Christ came, it was impossible.

Back in the day, many rituals and sacrifices had to be done by and for the people of God who were led and represented by a few chosen men to worship God.

Today, such practices are no longer necessary. Only the practice of obedience to God’s Words is necessary and practice is extremely essential for your spiritual wellbeing.

Jesus paid it all and has indeed saved our lives by a great deliverance. He was made our sacrifice. And by His act, He has made the rituals, sacrifices and burnt offerings mentioned in the Old Testament, redundant and terminated. Praise God!

Because of Jesus’ death and resurrection, we are now able to serve God as He desires in spirit and in truth.

Also, as stated above in Galatians 4:14, even though we have sinned, God still receives us on account of our born again spirit, which cannot sin.

Being strategically placed in this world and growing spiritually is the key to becoming an effective worker in the kingdom of God. Continue in the truth of God’s Words and you will know His divine power to godliness and how to live in this world.

As you grow, your level of consciousness will be heightened. But it will not make you proud and arrogant like worldly knowledge often does. Instead you become more childlike and humble.

To Prepare a Place For You

Jesus is our dwelling place.

Where the children of God rest peacefully and happily, enjoying the blessings of grace and peace being multiplied to them. Sadness, the burden of sin, the cares and worries associated with this life are not present.

The kingdom of God is the good land flowing with abundance where there is no famine or lack. A land filled with everlasting joy, peace, contentment and the fellowship and pleasure of God’s divine presence.

My friend, struggling through trying situations alone and living in fear, apprehension and stress is not God’s will for you. Know this… God is approachable and available to and for you.

We all need a savior and to return into a relationship with God. By divine designs, our souls were created to receive from God and to long for Him.

Happiness is what we simply cannot live without. And by the grace of God, not only has He restored our position, but He has also esteemed us to our right position, in Him, where you and I can know him intimately through Jesus. Whose love produces untold joy, peace and the key to your life’s purpose.

There are amazing benefits available to you, which cannot begin to scratch the surface of time, should we live a billion years on this earth…

Please come home and let the celebration begin!

If this post blesses you, I would love to hear from you. Share your testimony with us.

Let Jesus Wash Your Feet

Churches are crying out for revivals…

Many members feel that a drastic change is needed in the church, but very few know what to do.

Let me suggest simply… let Jesus in, take hold of the Gospel and allow the change to first begin in you.

The Power of God’s Grace

Was identified and demonstrated in Jesus.

For the good news of the kingdom of God is the message of salvation which Jesus, who was God himself, preached and taught with authority and power.

God’s goodness and mercy at work became the reality for many through Jesus who was the true picture of the grace of God and His unconditional love towards us.

And if you are still looking for solid proof about how God feels about us then let me point you to Jesus. For in Him it was plainly seen just how much God cares.

In His presence the poor, the oppressed, the bound, diseased and even the dead, Jews and gentiles alike – if they dared to believe – experienced phenomenal relief and deliverance from sickness, sin and death.

In fact, countless people were drawn to Jesus in droves, like a moth to a flame, and received their deliverance with joy, excitement and great rejoicing.

Then there was the apostle Paul, one of the greatest apostles of Jesus, who many would have ‘damned’ to hell for his persecution of the early church immediately after Jesus’ ascension.

He also received this ‘unmerited and undeserved favor’ from God. God touched him and he was changed forever. He lived the rest of his life preaching and teaching about the grace of God.

You see, this unconditional love just brings about a supernatural change to your life. Apostle Paul’s life is living testimony of this. His life was transformed and by his letters to the churches, the anointing still resonates and abounds even to this day. To the glory of God.

The scriptures and many transformed lives including my own, bear record today.

Furthermore, the mighty works that Jesus accomplished on the cross for us and His raising up from the dead is proof enough of God’s unconditional love and his will to bless and to save us. For me this truth is, unequivocally clear and life transforming.

You know, it’s no secret that we have all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. And no one is exempted from this. We are all guilty. Period.

But God, let me stress this, by His amazing grace has made a way possible through Jesus whereby we were all forgiven, our healing guaranteed and Satan’s oppression broken and instead the way to eternal life is open to all – where goodness and mercies flow increasingly toward us – who will believe.

Changing Lovers

That being said, what are you waiting on, what is hindering you from stepping into the dwelling place and awesome presence of the Most High God?

Could it be you that is holding yourself back? Then let go. Resist the urge to continue being a lover of yourself and of the pleasures of this world.

Turn and receive Jesus into every area of your life, for He is all you will ever need and you and only you can make this decision. He will not force Himself on you.

If you are ready to follow Jesus all the way, this choice is the beginning of your empowerment as a child of God.

You see, before the truth of the knowledge of God was revealed to me, I was blindly going about aimlessly chasing after the things of this world and its deceitful riches and fleeting pleasures even though I was a Christian.

Still believing there to be a better way, a more satisfying and fulfilling way, but could not find it. Then I heard the good news of the kingdom of God and I was profoundly changed by this truth.

Jesus made the difference for me and all the work that was required of me was to believe on Jesus.

I received a revival that was mind-blowing, my priorities were straightened out and the Lord was reinstated to be the ruler and the head of my life, period. I no longer cared what other people thought or said about me, God’s love and His grace was simply enough for me.

You need to see and experience the love that God has for you, to the extent that He made the ultimate sacrifice, in order that you can enjoy the blessedness and joy of His presence forever.

My friend, the love of God in you will break, destroy and free you from all bondage.

So much so that you will find your desires for sin and everything else, which you had a problem with before, pale in comparison to His love.
Love will wash over you and within you like a river.

Begin by Trusting in God’s Words

Remember, we do have an adversary, the devil, who is also the prince of this world. And you and I know that he comes about to steal, kill and to destroy and as long as we give him access into our lives, He will cause havoc.

Don’t you know that he has no power over you, except what you give to him?

Do not entertain him. Guard your heart from all his lies, which only you can do and take nothing from him.

I know this can be seen to be a challenge. For me, it was almost impossible until I learned to let Jesus lead me and cast all my cares upon Him.

First of all, I believe it is very important that you understand clearly that the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of God that is living within you is not there to remind you of your faults and to belittle you when you do wrong. That is not the office of the Holy Spirit.

He is with you to help you in your weaknesses, to guide and teach you, to comfort, love and to carry you when the going gets rough. And when you don’t know what to say when you pray, He makes intercession for you.

Trusting Him completely must be your way of life and you will receive His peace as you hand over the reigns of your life to Him. Allow Him to minister to you otherwise you cannot be a part of Him.

You will be happy to get rid of anything that remotely reminds or looks like what you once held dear while living in bondage. I speak from experience.

As a child of God you need not live in bondage, not when you have been set free.

Knowing God and living by the Word of God, by faith, is the key to bringing victories into your life. And indeed be the light of the world you have been called to be.

Finally let me say this. There will be a great revival of the church because the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

However, you being a member of this great body are dependent on you checking yourself and allowing Jesus to have His way with you and in your life!

Again, this decision is one that only you can make.
